Operations Fundamentals consists of 6 modules, each one of which has an elearning module and a virtual workshop.

Operations Fundamentals features six 90-minute virtual workshops delivered once per week for six consecutive weeks. Each workshop involves presentations of detailed case-studies and discussions, and includes a high-quality 30-minute e-learning module to be viewed prior to the workshop.

Borrowing Base Essentials

E-Learning Module - This module provides an introduction to the six-part operations series. The focus is on the borrowing base certificate, providing an in-depth look at both the key calculations and also the source material presented by the borrower. Practical examples are used as a basis for discussion.

90 Minute Virtual Workshop - The virtual workshop expands on the contents of the e-learning module. The presenters will work through some actual examples of borrowing-base certificates and the associated back-up material to demonstrate not just the calculations, but the key questions to be asked to manage risk effectively.

    Fraud Awareness Essentials

    E-Learning Module - This module provides a thorough overview of the dimensions and types of fraud, and the factors the drive people to commit fraud. Many different types of Fraud Scheme are discussed along with the ways that they can be detected and prevented.

    90 Minute Virtual Workshop

    The virtual workshop provides insights to fraud from both a lawyer and a field examiner, who will illustrate their experiences through the use of case studies, and help you build a deeper understanding of the ways that fraudsters operate and the ways you can detect fraud early.

    Trend Card and Risk Analysis Essentials

    E-Learning Module -Through an analysis of trend card examples, students will learn how to interpret trends cards and formulate questions for the customer where they don't appear to make sense. We will also explore the major indicators of risk and how to respond.

    During the virtual workshop attendees will work in groups and as class to interpret case-studies of trend cards, and learn from our experienced instructors the stories that may lie behind these trends.

    Loan Documentation Essentials

    E-Learning Module -This module provides a thorough overview of the Loan Documentation process for operations professionals. We review the overall process and reasons behind each document while also highlighting some of the key issues to watch for from an Operations Perspective

    The virtual workshop is presented by a team including a lawyer and operations professional who will take us on a tour of the critical elements of the loan and security agreement, explaining the reasons why these are important to operating the loan. There will be a practical exercise and a war story to illustrate why attention to detail is important.

    E-Learning Module - This module provides Operations Professionals with a deeper insight into the work of the field examiner addressing the following key issues:

    The presenters are experienced field examiners who will talk in detail about some practical case studies and situations they encounter to help build a deeper understanding of their work. Case studies include a shipping test example, inventory reconciliations, and mark down reserves.
